DeevaByTanvi is now accepting donations and needs your support to provide hearing aids to underserved students in Nashik, India. Hearing aids cost is $1200 per pair and the first goal is to raise $6,000 to be able assist five students.

“Mai Lele Shravan Vikas Vidyalay” is one of the five schools operated by trust “Maharashtra Samaj Seva Sangh” at Nashik, India and caters mainly to hard of hearing students.
Many students at MaiLele come from underprivileged background and need hearing aids and battery supplies to continue with their education, a basic right everyone deserves. My goal is simple – Help these students with hearing aids and provide them with an opportunity to excel.

Snehal Devidas Gawli
Campaign Snehal Goal: $1200
Age: 14 years
Snehal, a humble and intelligent girl, was diagnosed with a hearing impairment at the age of 3. Although doctors recommended a cochlear implant, her family could only afford to fit her with the hearing aids. When she wasn’t making adequate progress in her prior school, her parents brought her to MaiLele school, where her true academic journey began.
Thanks to her aptitude and her teachers’ efforts, Snehal has excelled in school as well as sports, arts and dance.
Despite her severe hearing impairment, Snehal tries to dance with a flawless rhythm. In 2022, she participated in the national dance event for differently-abled individuals called “Divya Kalashakti” held in Mumbai.
With the more powerful hearing aid, Snehal will certainly progress better.

Shlok Mukund Dangre
Campaign Shlok Goal: $1200
Age: 10 years
Shlok comes from highly underprivileged background. His grandfather, father, and sister are all hearing impaired. The family’s livelihood depends on a tea stall and they are not able to afford hearing aids.
He is good at his studies and also excels in sports and the arts. A quality hearing aid would greatly assist him pursue education and lead to his considerable improvement.

Ambadas Vitthal Bhalerao
Campaign Ambadas Goal: $1200
Age: 8 years
Ambadas comes from a very small village Amla from Hingoli district. His family relocated to Nashik for his education at MaiLele, but sadly he lost his father last year. His mother works as a housemaid and has to take care of him along with his 4 sisters.
Even paying rent at times is a difficulty for the family and thus paying for hearing aid remains a dream. Without hearing aid, he cannot hear and, consequently, is unable to speak.
If he receives a hearing aid, his family will be forever grateful and indebted.

Sanskar Ramesh Surwade
Campaign Sanskar Goal: $1200
Age: 9 years
Sanskar comes from a farming family with modest means and has been hearing impaired since he was 3.
His mother commutes 40 kilometers, taking 2 to 3 hours daily, to bring him to MaiLele School. With her support, Sanskar has been able to keep up with the studies and his reading and academics have significantly improved.
With his hearing aids, he has been able to communicate well and learning new things. However the current hearing aid is old and hindering his progress, a new one would help him advance better.

Parth Amol Ahirrao
Campaign Parth Goal: $1200
Age: 12 years
Parth is from Bhadgaon village from Chalisgaon, Dhule District. His mother and younger brother Jainil are also hearing impaired.
Parth’s grandmother took the guidance from the MaiLele school and brought both grandkids to Nashik for the better future. Parth’s father runs a hair-cutting salon in Dhule, but the financial situation continues to be challenging.
Despite this, the children are very eager to pursue their education. Parth is an exceptionally bright student, and with a new hearing aid, he is expected to make significant progress in all areas.
